Doug Sikkink stepped into the state director role on January 1, 2024

A note from the CEF of ND state board:

Dear friend,

Thank you for praying during our state director search.

The CEF of ND State Board is pleased to officially announce that Doug Sikkink has been unanimously appointed by the State Board and the CEF International Board of Trustees as the State Director. He will begin his new role on January 1, 2024.

Doug has served as the local director of our Fargo-Moorhead Chapter since November 2009.

He is passionate about reaching children for Christ and loves communicating the basic truths of the gospel in a way that children can understand. He looks forward to bringing this passion to the entire state of North Dakota and desires to see ministry expand to counties not currently being reached.

Doug lives in Fargo with his wife Sue, and their three children, ages 11-17.  He holds a B.A in Secondary Education for English from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN and is a graduate of CEF’s Children’s Ministry Institute® (www.cefcmi.com) in Warrenton, MO. Previously, he served for 14 years as the director of Grindstone Lake Bible Camp in Sandstone, MN.

During this transition, Doug will continue serving as the Fargo-Moorhead chapter director while handing over day-to-day responsibilities to other staff.

Ben Vinje will continue serving as the Interim State Director through December 31. Then, he will resume his previous role as Assistant State Director.

As this transition proceeds, we would appreciate your continued prayer.

We’re excited to see how the Lord works through CEF as we strive to reach the next generation for Jesus Christ. Thank you for being a part of this vital effort!

On behalf of the CEF of ND state board,
Brent Bogar, Chair
