Camp Good News is a great place for kids (ages 8 to 13) to get to know Christ, have fun, make new friends, and grow in their faith. Our camp environment invites campers to enjoy the beautiful North Dakotan outdoors through activities like canoeing, swimming, and sports. It’s also a place where a relationship with Christ can develop and bloom in a safe place: Bible classes, chapel sessions, and good conversations with others. Life skills like discipline and teamwork are honed through cooperative team activities as well as practical skills classes.

At camp, we strive to provide the most age-specific programming possible.  Our campers will be placed in cabins and on teams based on the following age groupings:  8-10 & 11-13.

Dear Camp Good News Family,

We’re writing to share difficult news with you. As we’ve been looking ahead to the summer, we’ve been praying about and discussing the future direction of Camp Good News. As we have been doing that, we’ve come to the hard decision to cancel the 2023 season of Camp Good News held at Camp Bentley.

The Fargo/Moorhead Chapter’s Camp Good News held at Camp Joy will continue as planned.

We know that this is not easy news. Some of you have been coming to camp for years. We will greatly miss seeing you this summer and we are continuing to talk about what camp will look like next year and beyond.

We also know this may leave a camp-shaped hole in your summer plans. If you would like help finding a different Bible camp to attend this summer, please contact your local CEF director. They would be glad to help. An adult can find their contact information on our website at www.ndcef.com/contact.

We would also like to invite you to our other summer program – Go Clubs. Go Clubs meet in backyards, churches, and parks across the state. The club runs for two hours for four days in a row. As a bonus, they are often led by the same people you know and love as counselors as camp! If you would like more information on Go Clubs or would like to find one near you, our local directors would love to help you!

We understand that you may be disappointed by this news and you may have questions. If you do have any questions or would like more information about this decision, please visit our FAQ page or email us at camp@ndcef.com.

Sincerely,
The Camp Good News Team
