Role: Chapter Director, Northwest Chapter

What are the primary ages that this position would be ministering to and working with in this position?

The person in this role should be comfortable working with people of all ages. While our programs focus on grade-school aged children and teens, the director will also work with adult volunteers, board members, and donors. The director will need to be especially adept at coaching and leading teens and young adults, who form a significant portion of our volunteer team.

Does this position involve any evenings or weekends?

While most hours are during the weekdays, this position will require occasional evenings and weekends for church visits, teaching opportunities, events, and retreats.  During the summer, you must be available for at least one week of training camp for staff and for one week of overnight camp.

What programs does CEF offer to children?

You can learn about our primary ministries to kids here.

Do I need to raise funds in this role?

Yes, as a full-time missionary with CEF, you will be expected to help raise funds for the on-going work of the ministry. Our fundraising policy is “Ask God, tell His people.” So, as we pray for the Lord’s provision, we make the ministry’s financial needs known to others. Typically, we raise funds through a combination of personal visits, church presentations, fundraising events, and mail/social media appeals.

Is there training for this job?

Yes. Training includes initial onboarding through the state office, courses through CEF’s Children’s Ministries Institute®, and on-going, on-the-job training.
