As we’ve been looking ahead to the summer, we’ve been praying about and discussing the future direction of Camp Good News. As we have been doing that, we’ve come to the hard decision to cancel the 2023 season of Camp Good News held at Camp Bentley.

The Fargo/Moorhead Chapter’s Camp Good News held at Camp Joy will continue as planned.

For more information about this decision, please visit the Camp Good News page here.

Twice Blessed 2022

All Gifts Given to Camp Good News Camp Scholarships Doubled up to $2500!

Give now at https://ndcef.tiny.us/twice-blessed

Between November 15 and December 31, donations given through Twice Blessed for Camp Good News camp scholarships will matched – up to $2500!

This is CEF’s fourth year participating in Twice Blessed, and each year we have been blown away by the generous response! Last year, God used your gifts to almost exactly meet the amount of scholarships requested! These scholarships make it possible for children to attend Camp Good News even if they normally couldn’t afford the registration fee.

Twice Blessed is a matching grant program sponsored by the St. Joseph’s Community Health Foundation.

Any gifts given beyond the $2500 match will not be matched, but will still be passed on to CEF to use for camp scholarships.

State Board Announces State Director Todd Erickson’s Resignation

The Erickson Family

After many years of faithful service with Child Evangelism Fellowship of North Dakota, Todd Erickson has resigned from his position as state director, effective August 31.

After serving over 20 years in various leadership roles with CEF of ND, Todd and Kim have discerned God calling them to a new season of ministry.

“As we step away from serving with CEF, we cannot thank you enough for how you have joined us in taking the Gospel to children here in North Dakota,” Todd said. “We have been so tremendously blessed to see God’s mighty hand at work in the ministry of CEF these past two decades. The memories are almost too numerous to count, and we praise God for His faithfulness during this fruitful season of ministry.”

“While we will miss having Todd and Kim as part of our team, we are excited to see how God will use them in new ways,” said Brent Bogar, the CEF of North Dakota state board chair.

Moving forward, the state board has begun work to fill the state director position. During this time, Ben Vinje, our assistant state director, will serve as the interim state director.

As we head into the next phase of our ministry, we would greatly appreciate your prayers. Please join us in praising God for the work He has done in and through Todd and Kim during their time with CEF. Please also pray for our state board as they guide our ministry and work towards filling the state director role.

Updates on the leadership transition can be found online at www.ndcef.com/news.
