What is the purpose/vision of CEF of ND? Who is CEF?
Child Evangelism Fellowship®(CEF) exists to evangelize children with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and establish them in a local church and the Word of God for Christian growth. CEF of ND is a part of Child Evangelism Fellowship, an international organization committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.
What are the skillsets/experience needed to be on staff for CEF of ND?
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Skilled in leadership and organization.
- Self-motivated, independent worker.
- Familiar with basic computer skills.
- Able to teach children clearly the truth of the Bible through interactive methods. Training is provided.
- Effectively communicate with both teens and adults.
- Experience and/or education working with children in a ministry setting is preferred for most director level positions.
What are the spiritual growth requirements for a position with CEF of ND?
- Desire to see children evangelized and discipled.

What are the typical hours/schedule? Can I work from home? Does this position involve any evenings or weekends?
While most hours are during the weekdays, this position will require occasional evenings and weekends for church visits, teaching opportunities, events, and retreats. During the summer, you must be available for at least one week of training camp for staff and for one week of overnight camp. Position keeps regular office hours. Most positions can have a work from home option if approved.
What training is offered?
Full-time staff are required to complete Children’s Ministry Institute (www.cefcmi.org) within two years of hire (costs covered by chapter). This training is an 8-course program that’s both online and in-person training that is led by our national office. In addition, onboarding training and orientation is also provided through the state office. All training is there to help the employee succeed at their position by preparing them for field work.
How does support raising work with the job?
Employees raises funds for CEF though events, personal visits, church presentations, social media appeals, etc. and do not raise personal support. Employees work in conjunction with the local committees and the state board to raise the budget to support the ongoing work of the ministry. Our fundraising policy is “Ask God, tell His people.” So, as we pray for the Lord’s provision, we make the ministry’s financial needs known to others. If you are hesitant about this part always remember that if God calls you to do His work, He will provide the funds. Employees are asking God’s people to join in funding His work. In addition, training is provided on how the best ways to raise funds.
What is the salary range for full-time positions?
All salaries are dependent upon education and experience.
- Local Director – $40,000 to $53,000
- Ministry Coordinator – $35,000 to $45,000
